Project Description
In France’s lopsided second-round election, a starkly divided country was revealed. Urban versus rural. White-collar versus blue-collar. Working versus unemployed. Our maps look at how On the Move! (Macron’s independent party) and the National Front leveraged socioeconomic forces.
What makes this project innovative?
We connected our live data results to tools and Illustrator scripts to automatically generate highly-detailed election maps.
What was the impact of your project? How did you measure it?
This piece was another data-driven story in Bloomberg\'s ongoing coverage of European elections this year and their disruption to the political status quo.
