The DJA Slack Team

The DJA community now has its own Slack team!

And what a team it is… So far made of about 180 data journalists from over 50 different countries, the DJA Slack team is the place to exchange, chat and share.

To celebrate the launch of the Data Journalism Awards 2017 competition, we’ve set up a series of discussions on the DJA Slack team. We’ve had a few so far so far. One on data journalism and virtual reality with guest speaker Simon Rogers (Google), one on building great data journalism teams with Scott Klein (ProPublica), a launch special on what makes a great data journalism project with former DJA winners, one on US Election data with Mona Chalabi (Guardian US) and one on the future of data journalism with Aron Pilhofer (Temple Uni, former NYT and The Guardian), and more. They were all a real success, with participants from around the world joining the conversation.

All you have to do to take part in the discussions (and catch up on previous discussions) is fill the following form to receive your invite to our new DJA Slack team. You can also get the form here.
