The DJA Slack Team

The DJA community has its own Slack team!

And what a team it is… So far made of about 200 data journalists from over 50 different countries, the DJA Slack team is the place to exchange, chat and share.

To celebrate the Data Journalism Awards competition, we set up monthly discussions on the DJA Slack team. We’ve already tackled topics such as data journalism and virtual reality with guest speaker Simon Rogers (Google), building great data journalism teams with Scott Klein (ProPublica), what makes a great data journalism project with former DJA winners, US Election data with Mona Chalabi (Guardian US), the future of data journalism with Aron Pilhofer (Temple Uni, former NYT and The Guardian), and more. They were a real success, with participants from around the world joining the conversation.

All you have to do to take part in the discussions (and catch up on previous discussions) is fill the following form to receive your invite to our new DJA Slack team. You can also get the form here.

If you have any questions, email Marianne Bouchart, Manager of the DJA competition at
